Coconut oil is extracted from copra, fresh by manual method or by mechanical equipment, with or without heat, without refining, de-coloring, deodorizing, which are possible methods. Alter the nature of oil. Coconut oil products are light yellow or dark, transparent. Virgin coconut oil can make food directly for humans without further processing.
Coconut oil contains essential fatty acids (over 90% of the total fatty acid content), but mostly saturated fatty acids. Fatty acids are moderately sized molecules (medium chain fatty acids). These fatty acids have a very good effect on human health, unlike those from animal fats.
There are many different types of coconut oil, each with different uses, here are three main types of coconut oil:
• Virgin coconut oil is extracted from fresh, ripe coconuts without the use of high temperatures or chemicals.
• Refined coconut oil is extracted from copra, bleached and chemically deodorized.
• Partially hydrogenated coconut oil uses the method of hydrogenation of the monounsaturated / polyunsaturated fats found in coconut oil.
Coconut oil is usually in liquid form when the temperature is over 25 degrees Celsius but it is also very easy to convert into a solid state if the temperature is lower than 25 degrees Celsius.
Coconut oil has many effects in life from health to beauty, food processing.
